NCED Membership

Registered Professional Educational Diagnosticians are now able to apply to be 'Nationally Certified Educational Diagnosticians' (NCED) with the Council for Educational Diagnostic Services (CEDS, a division of the Council for Exceptional Children). 

To be considered for grandfathering, you must be an RPED with Texas Professional Educational Diagnosticians' Board of Registry (TPED) and a member of CEC and CEDS.  Requirements include certification as an educational diagnostician through the Texas Education Agency and 2 years of experience working as an educational diagnostician, both of which are required through TPED.

Educational Diagnosticians who are not currently RPED's or are not able to take the Registry Examination in the summer of 2007 will be able to apply to take the NCED examination at the CEDS conference in October 2007 in New Orleans, Louisiana.>

All applications must be postmarked no later than September 30, 2007.
